Nike and Stüssy go way back, to early 2000’s to be precise. Over two decades, their collaborations have turned heads and set trends. Now, they’re celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Flight 89 with their latest joint effort. True to form, the Californian brand is taking a swing at this hoops legend as it hits the big 3-5.
This reinterpretation is accented with Stüssy’s trademark snakeprint – a design that’s slithered its way onto its sneaks over the years. It disrupts the crisp white leather upper, while “SS” logos add a contrast to the side panels. Other touches include mesh collars, side panel Swooshes, and Nike Air branding on the heels. And of course, it wouldn’t be Stüssy without the scribbled signature, stitched under the AIR branding on the tongue. To top it all off, two-tone Air Jordan 4 sole units (visible Air units included) give the shoe some serious lift.
