Originally launching as part of Maison Margiela’s debut collection in 1989, the Tabi design has become a timeless classic, releasing in many different iterations ever since. The Tabi design draws inspiration from the traditional 15th century Japanese sock, which gives this Ballerina Shoe its unique toe split. Crafted from premium lamb leather, they feature a ballet strap over the midfoot which is frayed to evoke the trace of time and the heritage of the design. Hand-crafted folds adorn the sides, whilst an embossed brand logo graces the sole.
