Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3 have taken a fresh, experimental look at the much-loved adidas Gazelle. They’ve covered almost the entire upper (midsole included) in smooth suede, but couldn’t resist adding a little leather to the heel. They’ve also left some threads hanging loose on purpose, giving a shout-out to Japanese Sashiko stitching and tracing those famous Three-Stripes. And let’s not forget Yamamoto’s touch – with a printed wordmark on the side wall.
